How to Create a Trendy Glitch Effect in 3 Simple Steps

Learn how to add a cyberpunk aesthetic to your photos using the RGB shift technique.

Step 1: Upload Your Base Photo

Upload your photo to PhotoEditBuddy. Since we are creating a digital glitch, this works best on photos with high contrast or neon lights (think cyberpunk cityscapes).

Step 2: The RGB Shift Hack

Head to the **Adjust** tab. Scroll down to "Vignette & Effects". You want to find the **Chromatic Aberration** slider. Crank it up! This separates the Red, Green, and Blue channels, mimicking an old, broken CRT monitor.

Step 3: Add Digital Noise

A clean glitch looks fake. Add some grit. Increase the **Grain** or **Noise** slider to roughly 20-30%. This blends the effect together and makes it look like a captured signal.
