How to Add Text to Photos

Learn how to add headers, captions, or watermarks to your images using our free Text Editor.

Open the Text Editor

Go to the Text Tool page or select the Text tab in the main editor.
Upload the photo you want to edit.

Add a Text Box

Click the Add Text button in the sidebar.
A text box with the message “Double click to edit” will appear on your image.

Edit the Text

Double-click the text on the canvas to start editing.
Type your message, then press Enter or click outside the box to save.

Customize the Text Style

Use the sidebar options to adjust your text:

• Font – choose from a variety of Google Fonts
• Style – bold, italic, or underline
• Color – select any color you like
• Size & Opacity – adjust using the sliders
• Rotation – rotate text to the desired angle

Position and Download

Drag the text to place it exactly where you want.
When you’re done, click Download to save your image with the text applied.
